A beautiful Korea University (Anam Campus)

Just a few days after arriving, i made a tour around a top three University of Korea, where i am going to study from. It’s Korea University. Notably, Korean education quality has been considerably good comparing to other western universities. Established in 1905, Korea University became one of the oldest universities in Korea left from pre-Korean war period, but still maintains its reputation of high qualified education. Even though this university is old in its age, but if you come here and see it from your eyes you might think that this university was just established a couple years ago. ;D The university’s building look really new, and i really love the environment around this university. Among many Korean people, Korea university is considered as a touristic site where many people come and visit it a lot.

……It was summer time and there was a lot rains. So, whenever you go out, make sure you have umbrella with you…;)

I love this university!! it’s so beautiful. When you come to Korea, please do not forget to visit this university.

My first impression….

Leaving your beloved homeland for other world and stay there for a long period of time is not an easy task.

I have never, never, never even one time expected that i could come to this beautiful country. “Korea”, yes, “South Korea”, i have been keep repeating this word in my mouth telling myself that i must be the luckiest person among other people who also wanted to come here, but failed.

August 27th, 2010, 11:30am was my departure time. With a traditional seeing-off from my relatives and friends, i felt really impressive. I have left behind a beautiful extended family and friends i really love, but have kept with me a lot of hope and belief they always have on me. Thank to their encouragements and helping hands, i became what i am “today”.

August 28th, 2010, 8:32am, i first landed on this prestigious land, the land of South Korea, at Inchoen international airport. “Exited”, i was really exited to be here. I looked around myself. i saw a lot new things, high-tech stuffs, lovely and beautiful people all around me 😉

I was really lucky. I was one of a few students who were picked up by my university from the airport.

Yes, “exited”. However, i was not all the good feeling that came into my heart. I came to a country where i do not know even how to read their alphabets. I looked around me, everything were written in Korean. English??? Well, it’s not easy to stay in Korea when you do not know Korean language. I was very worry and had a lot of fear with this new life!! However, i expected for a Korean class which would be provided by my university.

…..

After checking in, i was alone in my room. ………………..

……..But in fact, i was not alone, i was just the first who came.

They were my best neighbors and now became my best brothers. With their warm heart, i really love and respect them….

For this first meeting, i got one scarf and bracelet from my beloved homeland, Cambodia, for them….;)

Thank to them i became more confident, though i did not manage Korean language..hehe 😀 because they also did not know how to speak Korean!! haha!

….to be continued……………………
